First Training @ Wand’s

So got to Vegas at 2 and was at the Wand gym at 4:30. Training started at 5 with MMA, class was headed by Michael Costa one of original ShutBox guys and the we did Nogi with Vitor Vianna 6 time world champ.

The Wand gym is great and he is one awsome dude.

Oh by the way they also have a Ausie conditioning coach as well.

Blake was doing great we trained some Jiu Jitsu. He was a little bruised but looked great. He is fighting on Monday and seems to be the favorite amongst all.

Will keep you posted. Boxing for MMA tomorrow morning.

Had good breakfast and got interviewed by the UFC. It’s on!!!

Lotsa people, actually lotsa crazzzzies.

UFC tryouts LA

We’re in LA for the IFC tryouts and it’s 6 am. It’s an exciting day. There is going to be tons of people filling this hallway up to get on the ultimate fighter show.

Dean the mean machine

Just wanted to share this photo from the island with you all. And make a note that Dustin fight a great fight, he’ll be back.

Fights on the island

Got to the island and the weight in is done and it’s food time. Both guys made weight, Dean was 174 and Dustin was at 184. Looking forward to the fights.

Fight

Fight!!!

After all the hard training and prepration it was time to get in there and take care of business.

First stop was rules meeting at 5, the ref was a former boxer with 167 wins and 4 losses and also was Mohammadali’s sparring partner for 3 years, lets just say he knew what he was doing. Second part was the medical.

Then we got to the taping of the hands and ankles. The guys looked great in the warm up giving themselves and the team more confidence. Ben streched the guys real well and with butterflies in the belly Adam’s walk out song played and next thing we knew the punches and kickes were flying.

Adam looked great and managed to use his jabs and low kicks really well. That guy is gonna have trouble walking for a few days and just like that Adam improved his record to 3-0 in less than a year and a half of training.

Kiaash was a whole new fighter this time around. His opponent looked quiet dangerous up until the bell rang after that he just looked more beat up every second of the fight. Kiarash was truly a “beast” out there. After the fight we caught his opponenet being carried up the stairs by his cornermen. Great work on his part as well and much credit to Kiarash’s head movement, combinations and massive leg kicks.

Great weekend, fights and wins. Looking forward to the fights next weekend.

Big thanx to Iman for helping out with taping up the guys hand and pumping them up before and during the fight.

Pre fight

Going over the rules and resting before the fight. The medical is also done.

Fight day

Fight day:

Got up, had breakfast and went to the fight venue. Did some shadow work and light clinch. Went over strategies. Both guys feel great and can’t wait to fight. The guys at warrior’s realm are great hosts.

Good lunch, watching the Mike Tyson documentary.

Day before the fight

We packed got excited and got on the ferry to courtenay for warrior’s realm 3. Kiarash and Adam are going to fight on Saturday the 26th, they took the fights on a weeks notice. They are ready and hungry, check out the pics, I’ll keep you posted.

Weight in went well, Ben made sure the guys are cutting weight and loading back up the right way.
